The Daily Update: Amazing Grace
A conviction holding in our global equity portfolio, NVIDIA has announced the launch of its innovative next-generation GH200 Grace Hopper platform. This is based on a new Grace Hopper Superchip with the world’s first HBM3e processor, a processor which is 50% faster than its predecessor. The platform is built for the era of accelerated computing and generative AI and is designed to handle the world’s most complex generative AI workloads, such as large language models, recommender systems, and vector databases.
Now for the science: this new platform boasts exceptional memory technology and bandwidth to improve throughput, the ability to connect GPUs (graphics processing unit) to aggregate performance without compromise, and a server design that can be easily deployed across an entire data centre. The platform also offers groundbreaking memory and bandwidth (3.5 times and 3 times more than the current offering, respectively), as well as the ability to connect multiple GPUs for exceptional performance. It is easily scalable and can be deployed in a wide range of configurations.
This represents a significant advancement in the field of accelerated computing and generative AI, offering improved performance and scalability.
It is expected to be available in Q2 2024.
